Openings in San Luis Obispo County
Under general supervision, will process donated textile/clothing
items, housewares, books, and toys for sale. This is done in a sequential
process through sorting, grading, hanging and/or cleaning, pricing,
and invoicing and, for some items, packaging.
Under direct supervision, and in cooperation with others, maintain a neat, safe, orderly work environment. Merchandize inventory for sale, assisting customers and operating the cash register as requested. Promote/increase sales by following established procedures and practices. The steady work pace requires lifting/carrying 75 lbs. With frequent lifting/carrying of items weighing up to 50 lbs. Proper lifting /carrying techniques must be used. Assistance from another person or proper material handling equipment are used to move heavy and/or awkward items. Normal or correct talking, hearing and seeing abilities are sufficient to perform the required tasks.EOE/ M/ F/ V/ ADA
Wait on and serve customers at retail store location, using excellent
customer service to promote sales. In addition, perform related
tasks which support the daily operations of the retail store. Assist
with inventory, display, merchandising and placement of stock on
sales floor, stock rotation and mark-downs. Perform janitorial duties
as required/assigned. Weekends Required. Steady work pace with constant
standing and walking. The job involves light physical work demands
requiring lifting 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying
objects weighing up to 10 lbs. EOE/ M/ F/ V/ ADA
